About TapWatts
TapWatts SIA is a Latvian startup that uses its unique patented technology to produce “Carbide Powders” such as Titanium Carbide, Silicon Carbide and Aluminum Carbide after recycling household waste like plastic, metals and glass.
Even today, Carbide Powders are produced using obsolete traditional techniques requiring high amounts of energy consumption. TapWatts solves the energy consumption issue by not requiring a constant energy supply and releasing Hydrogen gas as a by-product, which is then further processed to produce green energy.
So far, TapWatts has successfully achieved a few milestones. One is receiving the patent approval for the technology, the second is having developed a fully functioning lab prototype that is already producing the desired products in small quantities. Based on the nature of operations and the green energy element, the project is very relevant to the current market and has tremendous growth potential. TapWatts’s main goal is to convert global waste into useful powders and increase the global green energy supply.
Our Process
Here is a glimpse of how we make it work
Waste Collection
We procure household waste from the local waste collectors and receive it directly at our production facility.
Waste Sorting
The procured household waste is then sorted into plastic, glass & metal waste and further processed into fine powder for the mixing and synthesis stage
On-Site Mixing & Synthesis
The powdered waste along with other industrial elements are combined and an exothermic reaction is initiated without any energy consumption
The Finishing
Touch
As a result of the whole process, Carbide powder along with Hydrogen gas is obtained, The hydrogen gas is further processed and purified to meet industry & regulatory requirements.
